 The following Shelties were all placed in their forever homes in 2007!

Bailey & Hanna

Bailey and Hanna, her mother, were surrendered under sad circumstances when the owner was evicted and had to give up the dogs due to no fault of his own. Bailey found a home with a great family and loves to play in the sprinklers. Hanna found a home with a young pastor and it appears the whole congregation adopted her. She does not go to church services but she does hang out at other church functions.

So shy he would not come out of his crate in his foster home this fellow’s new family had the patience to help him develop into an outgoing confident dog.

He was destined for a show career but something happened and he turned into a shy guy. Sold to somebody who subsequently gave him to a groomer to rehome he came to us. A beautiful sheltie he went to a home with a senior gentleman who unfortunately died a year late but his family took Banner into their care.

she came to us from a backyard breeder. She had worms and lice and a terrible flea infestation left her with a bad coat. She also showed digns of DM. Treatment was started and continued by her great new family Now her coat is grown in she looks fabulous.

Diego a sheltie BC cross,he had some behavioural issues but lots of work with his foster family and adoptive parents have helped him turn into a great family dog.

Found stray and in bad condition when she arrived in rescue this girl turned into a social butterfly in her new home.

KeenerMetairie

Keener & Metairie

were half sibs adopted as pups. Unfortunately the family had little time for them. In foster care it was felt they should be separated as Kenner, a big fellow, treated Metairie who was small like his favorite toy. Kenner was seriously overweight and his new family gave him lots of exercise so he slimmed down nicely. Metairie was adopted into a family with 2 young girls and she has blossomed into her true personality.

A delightful 5 year old Abby’s family had a new baby and not enough time for her. It was apparent on arrival that she had a problem with her back which was traced to hours of leaping for Frisbees which she loved, New owners continued exercises to help this .She has captivated the whole neighborhood on her walks.

Bayley got in trouble when he decided to chase cows on his farm. Luckily he was brought into our programme before being shot! While in foster care, Bayley was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (Dermatomyositis) while with ASR. Luckily a wonderful couple fell in love with him and he enjoys life with them and a sheltie brother. He has a winning personality and his family are quite willing to help him with any health issues that arise. What a lucky boy

He came to rescue from a backyard breeder and quickly found a great home!

Dusty had been badly neglected and was very frightened. He now lives with seniors who have helped him gain confidence .

Keisha is now living with several other shelties and having so much fun playing with them and going for long walks each day. She will soon be going to obedience classes and then will try out agility. Keisha is a very social gal and loves everyone she meets.

Only 1 year old, Jasper had been kept in his crate many hours a day and developed Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. A experienced foster home helped him start to improve and he soon found a forever home.

Fox and Nibbler

A couple who had recenttly lost 2 senior shelties picked out Fox from a large group of surrendered pups and when they went back to see the other pups a few days later Hunter picked them out! The two dogs were obviously bonded and have grown up in a loving family.

Brodie was also one of a large group of pups and was adopted by a great sheltie loving family.

Shyloh another one of the pups from the large group was adopted by a senior and has a great home with another sheltie and a golden retriever.

Border was adopted by his foster family. The family who adopted Smokey changed their minds and he came back to his foster family who also adopted him.
